HYSSOP
Apricot Sunrise’–(Agastache x ‘Apricot Sunrise’) - Fragrant apricot-orange blooms atop gray-green foliage. Very heat and drought tolerant, attracts butterflies and hummingbirds. Ht. 18-24”.
Blue Fortune’ –(Agastache foeniculum ‘Blue Fortune’) - Free-blooming masses of upright spikes. Peppermint scented foliage. Fragrant. Easy. Attractive to hummingbirds. Ht. 30”.
Coronado’– (Agastache aurantiaca ‘Coronado’) - Yellow flowers tinted with orange. Very aromatic foliage. Ht. 24”.
‘‘Red Fortune’–(Agastache ‘Red Fortune’) - Spikes filled with long, tubular flowers. Foliage has a pleasant anise or peppermint-lemon fragrance. Great for containers. Tolerates extreme heat. Ht. 28”.
Sonoran Sunset’–(Agastache cana ‘Sonoran Sunset’) - A more compact hyssop that blooms earlier than other varieties. Flowers are a lavender-rose. Blooms summer to fall. Ht. 15”.

ICE PLANT
Gold Nugget’–(Delosperma ‘Gold Nugget’) - Daisy-like gold blooms during the summer. Ht. 2-4”, slowly spreading.
Mesa Verde’–(Delosperma cooperi ‘Mesa Verde’) - Salmon pink flowers on thin leaved succulent foliage. Vigorous grower, great in a dry sunny location for a ground cover or rock garden. Ht. 2”.
Purple’–(Delosperma cooperi) - Fuschia-pink 2” daisy-like flowers. Long, thin succulent leaves. Spreads rapidly. Does great in poor soils. Ht. 6-7”.
‘Red Mountain’ (Delosperma dyeri ‘Red Mountain’)-Reddish flowers on succulent leaves. Must have well drained soil. Groundcover. Ht. 10”, width 15-20”
Starburst’–(Delosperma floribundum ‘Starburst’) - Hot pink blooms during the summer. A mat forming perennial with interesting succulent foliage. Ht. 3”.
Tufted Ice Plant’–(Delosperma sphalmanoides ‘Tufted Ice Plant’) - Tiny finger like leaves grow in a tight mat that is smothered with fuschia colored flowers in very early spring. Needs well drained soil, ideal for rock gardens. Ht. 3”.

IRIS
Bearded Iris
(Iris hybrids) - We carry a wide variety of Bearded Iris bare root in the fall. In the spring and summer we will have some varieties potted. Bearded Iris bloom in May and June and prefer a very well-drained location.

Miniature Bearded Iris
(Iris pumila) - These are dwarf versions of Bearded Iris in white, purple, blue, or yellow. Full sun and good drainage make this a great plant for the rock garden or front of a border. Ht. 10-15”.

Siberian Iris
(Iris sibirica) - Siberian Iris are easy to grow and the erect, bright green, sword-like foliage looks great all summer. They have 3-4” blooms in May and June, blooming after the Bearded Iris. This iris will grow happily in full sun, in average garden soil, but prefers a moist but not soggy location.
Butter and Sugar’ - Award winning variety! Buttery yellow falls and white standards. Likes moist, organic soil. Bloom time bridges the gap between German and Japanese Iris. Ht. 28”.
Eric the Red’ - Deep wine red falls, slight velvet texture.
‘Ruffled Velvet’ - Velvety violet standards and darker, very ruffled falls. Prefers moist, humusy, slightly acidic soil. Ht. 28”.

Variegated Iris
(Iris pallida ‘Variegata’) - Flowers of blue with yellow beards bloom above yellow variegated foliage. The grass like variegated leaves really brightens a garden. Prefers a moist site. Ht. 2’.

JACOB’S LADDER
‘Bressingham Purple’ (Polemonium ‘Bressingham Purple’) - The dark purple leaves of this unusual selection fade to green in the summer heat. This clumping perennial reaches 24” tall and is at home in deep shaded, moist woodland landscapes. Ht. 2’.
‘Brise d’ Anjou’ (Polemonium caeruluem ‘Brise d’Anjou’) - Sky-blue flowers and variegated fern-like foliage. Plant in average, well-drained soil. Polemonium doesn’t care for sites which are overly hot and sunny. Ht. 24”. ‘
Stairway to Heaven
’–(Polemonium ‘Stairway to Heaven’) - Leaves are a vivid dark green with a cream edge emerging with a beautiful pink flush. Sky-blue bell-shaped flowers above the vareigated foliage. Ht. 12-18”.

JOE PYE WEED
‘‘Chocolate’–(Eupatorium maculatum ‘Chocolate’) - Chocolate colored leaves and deep purple stems with white flowers from July into Sept. Ht. 4-5’.
Gateway’–(Eupatorium maculatum ‘Gateway’) - Flat-topped, mauve-pink flower clusters in the fall. Ht. 4-5’.
‘Little Joe’–(Eupatorium purpurea ‘Little Joe’) - Big mauve flower heads and attractive green foliage. Compact and low growing, with an excellent upright habit. Ht. 4’.
‘Phantom’ (Eupatorium maculatum ‘Phantom’) - A great compact version of an old time favorite for today’s smaller gardens. Large wine-red flower clusters. Ht. 30”.

JUPITER’S BEARD
Red–(Centranthus ruber) - Large clusters of tiny, fragrant, red flowers in late spring and summer. Ht. 2’.

KNAUTIA
Knautia’–(Knautia macedonia) - Many tiny, dark purple to dark red, scabiosa-like flowers July to frost. Ht. 2-3’.
Mars Midget’–(Knautia macedonica ‘Mars Midget’) - A profusion of brilliant ruby-red flowers on compact, dwarf plants. Very long blooming. Ht. 16”.
Melton Pastels’–(Knautia macedonia ‘Melton Pastels’) - Mix of purple, lilac, blue, pink, and rose colors. Lots of pin cushion flowers. Lacy foliage. Ht. 3’.

LACE PLANT
‘Border Jewel’ (Persicaria affinus ‘Border Jewel’) - Creamy white flower spikes. Dark green leaves that change to red in the fall. Withstands foot traffic. Cutflower. Groundcover. Ht. 4-12”, width 16-24”.
Giant Lace Plant-
(Persicaria polymorpha) - Large white plumes over clumping foliage. Ht. 4’.
Brushstrokes’–(Persicaria ‘Brushstrokes’) - In full sun the leaves are velvety chartreuse-green with a painted black chevron, like brushstrokes. In deep shade, the velvet is dark green and the plant is a foot taller. Ht. 32-36”.
Painter’s Palette’–(Persicaria filiforma ‘Painter’s Palette’) - Sprays of dark red, bead-like flowers in late summer bloom over heart-shaped, variegated leaves. Ht. 24-30”.
Red Dragon’–(Persicaria ‘Red Dragon’) - Spring foliage is a deep burgundy then turns color throughout the summer, which can vary to shades of red, mint, silver, and burgundy. As temperatures increase foliage turns more green. Adaptable to soil types. Ht. 24”.

LADY’S MANTLE
Auslese’ (Alchemilla mollis ‘Auslese’) - Striking chartreuse foliage. Star shaped yellowish-green flowers. Ht. 10-18”, slowly spreading.

LAMB’S EAR
Big Ear’–(Stachys ‘Helene von Stein’) - Wooly Lamb’s Ear with leaves twice the size of regular Lamb’s Ears. Ht. 10-12”.
Hummelo’ (Stachys monieri ‘Hummelo’) - Glossy, dark green foliage. Rosy-pink flowers. Great for borders, groundcovers and containers. Ht. 18-20”, width 18”.
‘Silky Fleece’ (Stachys byzantina ‘Silky Fleece’) - Silver-gray foliage. Forms a silky, groundcover carpet only 2” tall. Needs well drained soil. Ht. 2”, width 10”.

 
 
LAMIUM
Anne Greenaway’–(Lamium ‘Anne Greenaway’) - Dramatic folilage that is a combination of dark and light green, chartreuse, and silver. Mauve flowers in late spring and summer. Ht. 6”.
Beacon Silver’–(Lamium maculatum ‘Beacon Silver’) - Spreading groundcover with delicate, rosy-pink flowers and silver leaves edged in green. Blooms spring and summer. Ht. 6-8”.
False Lamium–(Lamiastrum galeobdolon ‘Herman’s Pride’) - Unusual groundcover with small yellow flower spikes in summer and attractive, silver-flecked foliage. Ht. 12-18”.
Orchid Frost’–(Lamium maculatum ‘Orchid Frost’) - Silver foliage with blue-green margins; blooms profusly with orchid blooms in spring and re-blooms again in late summer and fall. Ht. 6”

LAVENDER

LENTEN ROSE
(Helleborus orientalis) - Large flowers and striking evergreen, palm-like foliage. Early spring blooms are white, pink or maroon. Ht. 18-24”.
Royal Heritage’–(Helleborus x ‘Royal Heritage’) - Flower colors range from purple, near-black, red, rose-pink, yellow, pale green and white. Some are spotted or brushed with a contrasting color. The evergreen, leathery leaves are serrated. Seed pods add additional interest after the plants are finished blooming. Ht. 18-24”.

LIATRIS
‘Eureka’–(Liatris pycnostachya ‘Eureka’) - Breathtaking 5’+ densely packed reddish-purple long lasting flower spikes. Ht. 5’.
‘‘Kobold’–(Liatris spicata ‘Kobold’) - Deep purple flower spikes in the summer and fall. Ht. 18”.
‘Kobold Original’ (Liatris spicata ‘Kobold Original’) - The true original ‘Kobold’. A shorter cultivar from divisions, not seeds. Thick rosy-violet flower spikes. Attracts hummingbirds and butterflies. Deer resistant. Ht. 14”.
White (Liatris spicata ‘White’) - Attractive spikes of closely-spaced small pure white flowers. Excellent contrast to broad-leaved plants. Ht. 18-24”.

LIGULARIA
Desdemona’–(Ligularia dentata ‘Desdemona’) - Huge, rounded, leathery leaves make a bold statement in the shade garden. Yellow blooms in summer. Ht. 3-4’, 4-5’ wide.
Othello’–(Ligularia dentata ‘Othello’) - Orange-yellow, daisy-like flowers in July and August. Very bold, large, leathery leaves. Ht. 3-4’, 3-4’ wide.
The Rocket’–(Ligularia stenocephala ‘The Rocket’) - Wand-like spikes of bright yellow flowers in summer tower above attractive, bold, serrated leaves. Ht. 5-6’, 4’ wide.

LILY
Asiatic Lilies
(Lillium) - Sturdier than the Oriental Lilies, these hardy bulbs will form a large clump of colorful blooms in June. Full sun to light shade, their main requirement is a well-drained site. Easy and long lived. Many varieties to choose from.

Oriental Lilies
(Lillium) - These are very showy lilies with an elegant bloom in mid-summer. The flowers open flat, and some recurve slightly, many are spotted. All are fragrant. Well-drained soil is a must. Many varieties to choose from.

LILY-OF-THE-VALLEY
(Convallaria majalis) - Delightfully fragrant, white bell-shaped flowers. Ht. 6-8”.

LOBELIA
Grape Knee High’–(Lobelia ‘Grape Knee High’) - A shorter lobelia with deep purple flowers. Longer blooming period. Ht. 25”.
Queen Victoria’–(Lobelia cardinalis ‘Queen Victoria’) - Tall, bright red flower spikes in summer; maroon foliage. Ht. 3’.

LOOSESTRIFE
Gooseneck–(Lysimachia clethroides) - Graceful, curving racemes of white blossoms on erect plants in summer. Ht. 3’, quickly spreading.

‘Blue Fountain’ (Malva hybrid ‘Blue Fountain’)-Deep blue cupped flowers with a lighter edge. Very long blooming. Ht. 50”.
‘Mystic Merlin’ (Malva sylvestris ‘Mystic Merlin’) - Hollyhock flowers with shades of blue, purple and mauve. Long blooming. Ht. 5’.

Maltese Cross–(Lychnis chalcedonica) - Intense, scarlet flowers with deeply-notched petals arranged in large clusters. Summer bloom. Ht. 2-3’.

MEXICAN HAT
Prairie Coneflower–(Ratibida columnifera ‘Red’) Striking native wildflower. Red flowers with pronounced center cone. Plant in well-drained site. Ht. 3-4’.
'Yellow'–(Ratibida columnifera ‘Yellow’) - Native wildflower. Yellow flowers with pronounced brown cone. Ht. 3-4’.

MONEYWORT
Creeping Jenny–(Lysimachia nummularia) - Bright green leaves with a trailing, creeping habit and small yellow flowers. Good groundcover. Ht. 1-2”.
Gold Creeping Jenny–(Lysimachia nummularia ‘Aurea’) - Gold leaves with a trailing, creeping habit. Good ground cover. Ht. 1-2”.

MUM
(Chrysanthemum x morifolium) - Wonderful, long-lasting fall colors. We will carry a few in the spring and a wide selection of colors in the fall.

OBEDIANT PLANT
‘‘Miss Manners’ –(Physostegia virginiana ‘Miss Manners’) - Good clumping form that is not invasive. Trumpet-shaped flowers on spikes. Plant in any soil, either wet or dry. Wonderful cut flower. Very easy to grow. Ht. 18-24”.
